Suitable For all Body Types

Hatha

Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) which helps bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. It includes the Yoga postures and breathing techniques directed to purifying the physical body to achieve a healthy body. There is no better health tonic than Yoga asana and the Hatha yoga practice at the Yoga Byrne studio is suitable for all types of bodies.

Vinyasa

Is also called ‘flow’ because of the smooth way that the poses run together. It is recognised as one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. In vinyasa yoga each movement is synchronised to a breath. It offers an alternate way to exercise that burns calories to help you lose weight. You move from pose to pose with the breath … and in some vigorous classes you can burn upward of 400 calories. Sweating using traditional cardio and vinyasa yoga can both help you lose weight but Vinyasa will also calm the body and mind. Students with some experience will love these classes.
